On May 5, 2023, at approximately 1400, Officers went to the 400 block of W. Henderson where they arrested Anthony Jerhone Hearne on a Federal Felony Warrant. Hearn was booked, and transported to Lamar County Jail.
May 5, 2023 at approximately 1115 officers were dispatched to a a burglary of a business in the 2400 block of the NE loop. It was reported to officers that several storage units had been burglarized by having he locks cut and the contents stolen. The owners of the property stolen are to contact Police when they get an inventory of all stolen property. Investigation continues.
A Burglary was reported at 213 George Wright Homes. Complainant advised that someone had come into the apartment and taken baby clothes and food from the refrigerator. There were also other physical indicators of an unknown person coming in and disturbing items in the apartment. There was no forced entry observed. Investigation will continue.
Officers responded to a burglary in the 800 block of Woodlawn at 1733 on May 7. Complaint showed officers that an unknown subject had entered the residence through a broken window and had rummaged through their belongings. Victim could not establish if anything was missing as they were in the process of moving out. Any missing property will be reported later. Investigation is pending.
