On May 15, Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Kessler in regards to an assault. They met the victim, who had fled the residence on the street in the area. The victim advised they had been assaulted by Steven Floyd Williams (36) and that Williams, a convicted Felon, was at the residence in possession of a firearm. During the investigation it was learned that Williams had assaulted the victim several times over the past several days and had threatened death or serious bodily injury to her several times. Officers attempted to make contact with Williams at the residence by he refused to exit the residence for several hours resulting in Paris Police Specialty Units being activated. Williams exited the residence later and was taken into custody. He was charged with numerous felony charges including Aggravated Assault of a Family Member, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was booked without incident.
