Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 9:59pm: Paris Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Grand Caravan for a defective brake light, in the 1900 block of North Main Street. Contact was made with the driver; who advised officer that drug paraphernalia was inside the vehicle. 47-Year-Old Shawn Lyn Parker of Lamar County was arrested, taken into custody and booked into the Paris Jail after a clear plastic baggie containing methamphetamine was located in his right front jean’s pocket. Parker was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG-1 <1g, a State Jail Felony.
