In its first week on Amazon, “What is the Bible?,” written by local mom Charlie Rose, hit #15 in its category and has received rave reviews online.
“Charlie is such an amazing author and has a heart for sharing Gods word with all ages. This is such a great book, and we are so excited to be sharing it with our 1 year old,” said Jeff Davis on Amazon.
Rose, a wife and mother of soon to be three, said she wrote the book because “it is important to know why people believe what they believe.”
“I don’t want to simply tell people to read their Bibles. I would rather explain to them why this is important to their daily lives,” said Rose.
In “What is the Bible?” (published by WestBow Press), Rose aims to help children understand what the Bible is and what sets it apart from other books. Within the pages of this book, children will learn that the Bible is true (Inerrancy), the Bible cannot fail (Infallibility), the Bible is God’s Word (Inspiration), the Bible is all what people need (Sufficiency) and that the Bible governs their lives (Authority).
“If Christian parents don’t teach their children what is important at home, the world will teach them and it may not be the correct teachings. It is important to raise the next generation in a way that sets them up for success in this world,” Rose points out.
She adds, “Without saying fancy theology terms, this book teaches theology in a way that is understandable for children.”
When asked what she wants readers to take away from the book, Rose answers, “My hope is that children learn that the Bible is God’s word, always true with no mistakes, what we need for life, and what we should follow. Truth is not changing, and we can know it through God’s word.”
What is the Bible? is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
