On Mar. 20, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of S. Main. They made contact with Karen Lyria Henry (59). Henry was found to have an open warrant for Motion to Adjudicate Guilt on a previous charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was arrested without incident and placed in county jail.
On Mar. 20, Officers received a report of an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon occurring on the NE Loop. The victim advised that he was exiting Wal-Mart when a vehicle began honking at him and then as he drove to the NE Loop, began pursuing his vehicle and attempting to run him off the road. The driver of the suspect vehicle continued attempting to run the victim off the road and drover over a grassy median to attempt to keep pursuing the victim. The victim advised he thought the suspect was firing a weapon at his as he had heard what he presumed to be a shot. The officer observed damage to the victim’s vehicle which the victim advised was caused by this incident. There were witnesses to the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
On Mar. 20 , an officer assisted a State Trooper with a traffic stop/vehicle search in the 500 block of SE 19th . The officer recognized the subjects from the vehicle as Ryan Colby Floyd (40) as well as a female subject. Floyd was found to have open warrants from the city for Municipal Fines. He was arrested on the warrants. A subsequent search of Floyd’s clothing netted a plastic baggie in his pocket containing methamphetamine. Floyd was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On Mar. 20, Officers received a report of theft from a facility in the 2400 block of Stillhouse Rd. A representative from the facility advised officers that a quantity of narcotics had been stolen from the “Med cart”. The facility required several subjects who had access to the cart to be drug tested. One subject refused. The “Possibly” known suspect had also taken the drug log in an attempt to prevent detection of the theft. The investigation is ongoing as well as an in house investigation by the facility.
On Mar. 21, Officers responded to a Burglary of a Residence in the 900 block of SE 20th. Officers investigated and found that sometime after 03/18/2022 suspects had forcibly entered the victim’s residence and stolen numerous items including appliances, tools, prescription medications, exercise equipment, stereo equipment/television, and children’s clothing. It was obvious that the suspects had plenty of time to remove the items due to the scope of the theft. The investigation is ongoing.
On Mar. 22, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 2500 block of N. Main Street for an illegal turn. He made contact with the driver, Camille Michaela Jimenez (31). The officer requested permission to search the vehicle, which was given. The officer found a makeup bag in the vehicle containing paraphernalia used for the smoking of methamphetamine. Jimenez claimed possession of the paraphernalia, which still contained methamphetamine. Jimenez was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was booked without incident.
On Mar. 22, Officers were investigating a theft from the 900 block of Clarksville St. They stopped a suspect vehicle in the 700 block of Chism St. and made contact with the driver and a passenger, Nakia Lashunda Mason (50). As officers were interviewing Mason and searching the vehicle, an officer observed what appeared to be narcotics on the pavement near the vehicle. The officer went to put on gloves so as to safely pick up the suspected narcotics. When the officer returned the narcotics had been removed. The officer spoke with Mason, who denied ownership but admitted to having moved the narcotics to another location. The officer reviewed his video and was able to locate the narcotics in the vehicle. Mason was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Evidence.
On Mar. 23, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 500 block of SE 15th for an equipment violation. He made contact with the driver, Bryleigh Payge Morris (20) and two back seat passengers, Joshua Allen Campbell (24) and Carl Daniel White (43). All occupants were ordered to exit the vehicle due to the driver and passengers, known for narcotics possession, appearing nervous. A consensual search of White’s person revealed marijuana in his pocket. A subsequent search of the vehicle located methamphetamine in the rear floorboard area as well as further methamphetamine in the front seats. It was obvious that someone had ripped some of the bags open and dumped the narcotics in an attempt to avoid detection. None of the occupants claimed ownership of any of the narcotics with the exception of White claiming the marijuana in his pocket. All were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Evidence. White was also charged with Possession of Marijuana. All were booked and placed in county jail without incident.
Officers made 112 traffic stops, 15 adult arrest, and answered 263 calls for service during this reporting period.
