On Feb. 28, Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue where they arrested Jarvis Wayne Dunham (53) of Paris for threatening victim’s at the scene with knives. Two large knives were recovered form Dunham’s room and video on site confirmed the victim’s allegations that Dunham had brandished the knives. Dunham, who was in an intoxicated state, was placed under arrest on the above listed charges.
On Mar. 1, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 1300 block of N. Main. The officer made contact with the driver, Tracy Leonard Lawrence (58), and one passenger. Lawrence was found to be intoxicated. Lawrence was placed under arrest for DWI. A search of the vehicle subsequent to the arrest netted a small amount of marijuana, which Lawrence confirmed belonged to him. Lawrence was arrested without incident. Lawrence had been previously convicted of DWI on several occasions and the charge was enhanced to a Felony DWI.
On Mar. 2, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of Bonham St. They were advised that the suspect was Jazztavion Alexander Dayquaw Fuller. Officers were aware that Fuller had an outstanding warrant for Assault of a Pregnant Person, a Felony. Upon officers arrival it was learned that Fuller had left the scene on foot. Fuller was located by officers a short time later in the 1200 block of Pine Bluff St. He was arrested on the warrant. The warrant was a result of an April 2024 incident in which Fuller had allegedly assaulted a family member who was pregnant. He was booked without incident.
On Mar. 2, Officers received notification of a theft of a trailer in the 300 block of NW 5th. Suspects had taken the trailer, which was loaded with shingles, from the job site at that location sometime after 10:00PM on March 2. The trailer was described as a heavy duty pipe top rail trailer approximately eight feet in length and bright red in color. Officers of the NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force were notified of the theft and the investigation will continue.
Officers made a total of four arrest for Driving While Intoxicated during this reporting period.
Officers made 60 traffic stops, 14 adult arrest, and answered 301 calls for service for this reporting period.
