On June 24, Officers arrested Darren Edward Langford (47) of Paris after receiving a report of a disturbance in the 3500 block of Lamar Avenue. Store personnel wanted Langford given a trespass warning not to return to the property. The warning was given and a local check on Langford showed an outstanding warrant for Theft under 2500.00 with 2 or more convictions. He was processed without incident.
On June 23, Officers were notified of an identity theft incident. The victim last used his credit card on Sunday June 22 in Paris. On Monday, various charges began coming through his account. The victim immediately caught the charges and cancelled the card but several other charges that the suspect attempted to make were denied. The victim then noticed that his card was missing from his wallet. Victim does not know where the card was lost or stolen. Investigation is ongoing.
