On July 15, Officers responded to the 1300 block of Clarksville Street in reference to a reported shoplifting at a local business. During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect had left the store with multiple stolen items. The suspect was later located in her vehicle at a nearby gas station.
Upon making contact with the suspect, she admitted to stealing several items and was subsequently placed under arrest for Theft. A criminal history check revealed that she had two or more prior theft convictions, resulting in the charge being enhanced to Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a State Jail Felony.
During this reporting period, officers conducted 27 traffic stops, made 3 adult arrests, and responded to 67 calls for service.
