On Jan. 8 at 11:37 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of SW 7th Street for a moving violation. Officers made contact with the driver, Airion Josiah Milton (29), who had marijuana openly in view in the vehicle. The driver surrendered the marijuana to the officer without incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a handgun within the driver’s reach. Also located were a set of scales, commonly used to weigh narcotics for resale, plastic bags, other drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash. Milton was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana and Unlawfully Carrying a Handgun. He was processed without incident.
Officers made 40 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 82 calls for service for this reporting period.
