On Feb. 5 at 8:53 p.m., officers arrested Surrender Tijera Barry (34) on an outstanding warrant for Assault w/ bodily injury after she was stopped in the 600 block of Bonham St. for an equipment violation. She was booked and taken to the county jail without incident.
On Feb. 6 at 4:07 a.m., an officer working covertly in the 200 block of Stone Avenue in an attempt to apprehend auto burglars attempted to make contact with a subject he observed on foot in the area. The subject fled on foot. Other officers arrived in the area and located a subject matching the clothing description of the suspect in the 2600 block of N. Main the subject continued to run and was eventually located and captured in the 300 block of Stone Avenue. He identified himself as Scott Sims and was charged with Evading Arrest. Sims was later identified as Stacy Allen Sims, who had several previous charges of Evading Arrest and had an outstanding warrant for the charge. He was charged with Evading arrest, habitual, and Fail to Id as a Fugitive from justice
On Feb. 5 at 5:35 p.m., an officer responded to the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue in regards to a shoplifter. Officer met with store employees who were confronting Christopher Leotis Williams (32) who had concealed numerous items in his pants and then tried to leave the store. The total of the items was over 100.00. Williams was charged with Class B Theft.
