Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:57am: Paris Police Officers responded to the 800 block of NE 13th Street; where the complainant stated that her daughters were fighting. A disturbance and a physical altercation had taken place. The suspect has also stated that she would kick the victim in her stomach. Officers took a report of an Assault of Pregnant Person to be investigated.
Friday, February 24, 2023 at 3:52pm: Paris Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a single occupied vehicle in the 500 of Clarksville Street for an expired motor vehicle registration. A cigarette package, containing a bag with a crystal-like substance, testing positive for methamphetamine was located. 52-year-old Bryan Lynn Thompson of Paris was arrested
for Possession of Controlled Substance and was also sequentially arrested for Fail to Identify Intent to Give False/Fictitious Info when he provided a false name, claiming to have a twin brother. Thompson was booked into the Paris Police Jail and later transferred to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office.
Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 00:02am: Paris Police Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 300 block of Fitzhugh Ave for traffic violations. The vehicle continued to move and did not immediately yield to emergency lights and sirens; but eventually came to a stop in the 600 block of Fitzhugh Ave. Driver, 71-year-old Jackie Joe Jones of Paris smelled of an alcoholic beverage; had slurred speech and red-glassy eyes. Jones refused to exit the vehicle and had to be assisted. Jones refused to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and Resist Arrest Search or Transport. The front seat passenger was released from the scene. Jones was booked into the Paris Police Jail.
Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 1:20pm: Paris Police Officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1300 block of East Sherman Street for Expired Motor Vehicle Registration. Drugs were located inside the vehicle and also in the trunk. Driver, 43-year-old Krissi Ann Green of Clarksville were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance for possessing THC Gummies. 48-year-old Anthony Dean Cabler of Paris was arrested for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Manufacture Deliver Controlled Substance for possessing Methamphetamine, THC Gummies, Synthetic Marijuana (K2) and one Hydrocodone pill. Both were booked into the Paris Police Jail.
Friday, February 24 through Sunday, February 26, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 169 calls for service and arrested 19 adult persons.
