Fri. Dec. 6; Officers arrested Dana Diane Dalby (35) at the Lamar County Probation Office for an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Felony.
Fri. Dec. 6; Annette Jane King (58) was arrested in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue after she was detained for not scanning items and attempting to leave the store. A criminal history revealed that King had two or more prior arrest for Theft under 2500.00. She was charged with Theft/Enhanced, a Felony and transported without incident.
Sat. Dec. 7; Officers were notified of the theft of a trailer and welder from the 3800 block of US Highway 82 in Lamar County. The trailer was observed being towed by a vehicle occupied by Anthony Charles Thurman (45) and Paul Granville Thurman (49). The pair of suspects towed to trailer to an address in Detroit Texas where they left it. They were stopped and arrested by officers of the Paris Police Department and NE Texas Auto Theft Task Force. Both were charged with Theft over 2500.00, a Felony.
Sat. Dec. 7; The department received a report of a Burglary of a Residence in the 100 block of SE 12th . Subjects had broken a window of a residence, entered the residence and stolen a French Bulldog valued at approximately 2000.00. The investigation is ongoing.
Sun. Dec. 8; Officers responded to a welfare concern in the 2400 block of Ridgeview Rd. They met with Trinity Ameia Alesie George (19) and another family member. No disturbance was actively occurring at the time of arrival but George was being verbally abusive and uncooperative with the other family members. A warrant check revealed that she had warrants out of Bowie County on a misdemeanor case. When George was placed under arrest for the warrant, she resisted arrest and kicked and attempted to bite one of the arresting officers. George was charged with resisting arrest. She was transported to Lamar County Sheriff’s Department and placed in County Jail.
Sun. Dec. 8; A traffic stop in the 1900 block of Lamar for an expired registration brought officers into contact with Cody Ashton Henley (26). Henley was driving without a license. A consensual search of the vehicle revealed narcotics secreted in the driver’s area. Henley admitted ownership of the narcotics. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance.
Mon. Dec. 9; At 0046 hours officers responded to an alarm in the 4000 block of Lamar Avenue. They discovered the front door glass to be broken. Unknown suspects had broken the front glass, entered the building, and stolen various property from the business. Evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers made 51 traffic stops, 16 adult arrest, and answered 268 calls for service for this reporting period.
