Thurs. Dec. 19 at 2:01pm; a Paris Officer was dispatched to the Adult Probation Office in the 4300 block of Bonham Street to serve a warrant on 57-year-old Douglas Wayne Speir of Bogata. Contact was made with Speir in the lobby, and he was taken into custody for Felony Probation Violation-Motion to Revoke-Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more and was transported and booked into the Paris Jail.
Thurs. Dec. 19 at 7:35pm; Paris Dispatch received a call of one, maybe two male “Grinch”, leaving the scene, in a black SUV, from the 300 block of West Kaufman Street, headed towards downtown, after stealing bags of toys, estimated at $500 dollars, from an outside storage trailer. An officer searched the area; presently the suspect or suspects have not been located or identified.
Thurs. Dec. 19 at 11:10pm; while making deliveries, a delivery driver found a grey Motorola cellular phone on a curb on North Collegiate Drive. The phone’s screen is locked, and owner information is unknown. The phone will be stored in Police Evidence for safekeeping, until the owner can be identified and re-claims the phone.
Thurs. Dec. 19, 2024: The Paris Police Department responded to 75 Calls for Service, made 3 Adult Arrest, and Initiated 14 Traffic Stops.
