On Dec. 19 at 10:19 a.m., Officers observed Thomas Dale Wells walking in the 400 block of W. Kaufman. A warrant check revealed Wells to have an outstanding warrant. Officers ordered Wells to stop. Wells failed to do so ignoring their orders and proceeding on until he reached a trash can where he discarded 2 glass pipes commonly used for narcotics. Wells was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Evading Arrest or Detention, and Tampering with evidence. He was also arrested on the warrant for the charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury stemming from a previous incident on August 15 of this year in which he sprayed a motel owner with pepper spray during an eviction.
On Dec. 19 at 12:12 p.m., Officers were notified of a theft of a Heavy Duty Dolly from a business in the 1500 block of Lamar Avenue. The dolly had been left outside of the business and video showed an older white male on a bicycle taking the dolly around midnight. Possibly identity of known of the suspect and the case is under investigation.
On Dec. 19 at 6:17 p.m., Officers were notified of a 17 year old female runaway. The subject had been dropped off for work in the 3700 block of Lamar Avenue but had failed to show up for work. The missing individual was seen leaving with two known white males of her own accord. Investigation is ongoing.
