Mon. Dec. 16 at 12:45pm; a Paris Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Stone Avenue to assist Paris EMS, with what was called in as a welfare concern. It was reported that a male had just drug a female up to the outside door of an apartment and had apparently left the scene. Paris EMS and the officer attempted to speak to the victim to get any information; but she was extremely incoherent and could not provide any. Multiple orange-tinted pill bottles with different pills and other paraphernalia were located on the victim’s property. The victim was transported to a local hospital and the situation will be further investigated.
Mon. Dec. 16 at 8:58pm; Paris Officers responded to shot fired in the 2100 block of SE 40th Street. Area residents believed the gunshots to have come from a particular residence’s backyard. Officer made contact with a female at the believed incident location and ended their brief investigation due to the visible occupants being uncooperative. Outside the residence was a maroon Ford, registered to a convicted felon on federal probation that was wanted on several Paris Municipal Court warrants. Approximately one hour later, Lamar County Deputies made a traffic stop and arrested the subject on the warrants. No firearms were located on the subject or in the vehicle. The uncooperative female, that had refused to identify herself arrived on scene to take possession of the vehicle. She was identified and the investigation is on-going.
Tues. Dec. 17, 2024: The Paris Police Department responded to 44 Calls for Service, made 2 Adult Arrest, and Initiated 9 Traffic Stops.
