On Dec. 9, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of W. Kaufman for a vehicle equipment violation. He made contact with Destiney Suellen Williams (30) of Bagwell Texas. Williams agreed to a search of her vehicle and her person. As the officer proceeded with the search he noticed a particular bulge in the area of Williams’ right outer hip area. When questioned about the bulge, Williams advised it was clothing. A female law enforcement officer was called to the scene at which time a bag of methamphetamine was recovered from inside Williams’ pants. Williams advised there was marijuana in her purse as well. The small amount of marijuana was destroyed and Williams was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance over 1 gram, a Felony. She was booked and taken to Lamar County Jail.
