On Aug. 28, Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1300 block of N. Collegiate. The incident involved three vehicles. One vehicle was being operated by Christopher Lonnie Majors (48). Majors’ vehicle struck a vehicle from behind, causing that vehicle to strike another vehicle from the rear. A passenger in the foremost vehicle claimed neck, shoulder, and throat pain. The passenger was transported to PRMC by Paris EMS. It was found through investigation that Majors was intoxicated and that he had two prior convictions for DWI. Majors was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault with a Motor Vehicle, a Felony. Majors was in possession of a handgun at the time of the incident and was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked without incident.
Officers made 12 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 123 calls for service for this reporting period.
