On Agu. 18, Officers responded to an EMS assist in the 900 block of Pine Bluff St. EMS personnel were treating a 26 year old subject who on the way to the hospital, demanded to get out of the ambulance and was refusing further treatment. Officers made contact with Alexandria Denae Reaves Washington (27) of Paris who continued to refuse EMS treatment but also refused to sign a refusal form. Officers signed the form as a witness and Washington began to leave the scene. A local check by officers revealed that Washington had an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Washington was located in the 1000 block of Lamar Avenue and taken into custody on the warrant and booked without incident.
On Aug. 15, Officers responded to a fight at Jackson Courts Apartments. Upon arrival they met several juvenile and adults who advised that a fight had occurred at the playground. An adult female advised she had been attacked by a juvenile female who she had continuous issues with for several years. The subject indicated that the juvenile had struck her in the face and pulled her hair continuing to strike her several times. The adult advised she had fought back with assistance from her juvenile daughter. The two separated and went to their separate apartments. Allegations were made that the adult subject had been armed with a deadly weapon (box Cutter) but no wounds were observed and no weapons were located. The case is under investigation.
On Aug. 16, a report was received of a Burglary of a Habitation in the 1100 block of SW 4th ST. The victim arrived home to find windows and door latches damaged at the residence and to discover that the house had been gone through. Clothing and other items had been scattered on the floor and some items had been deliberately broken. The victim’s believe a family member committed the crime based on items damaged and stolen. The case is open and the investigation is pending.
Officers made 34 traffic stops, 8 adult arrest, and answered 320 calls for service during this reporting period.
