On Aug. 14, Officers were notified of a Burglary of a Building in the 4100 block of N. Main. An unknown suspect entered a building at that location and stole radio transmitter equipment. The owner called from out of town and could give very limited information on the incident. A report was made and the incident will be investigated as well as current evidence and information will allow.
On Aug. 14, Officers responded to an assault in the 700 block of E. Austin St. The victim advised that a known suspect had entered the residence without permission and when confronted had assaulted the victim by choking them with his hands. A witness at the scene confirmed the incident. Officers collected photographic evidence which substantiated the testimony of both the victim and witness. The suspect had left the scene prior to officers arrival. The incident is under investigation.
