On Tuesday, April 30 at 8:52am; a Criminal Trespass was reported in the 3000 block of NE Loop 286 and arriving Paris Officer made contact with 18-Year-Old Tra’Vion De’Marcus Johnson, who returned wanted on a 3rd Degree Felony warrant from an incident occurring in February of this year, where Johnson had choked a woman that was seven months pregnant with his child. Johnson was booked for Felony Warrant-Assault of Pregnant Person.
On Tuesday, April 30 at 12:22pm; Paris Officers responded to a report of Suspicious Activity in the 400 block of Grand Avenue. The apartment manager had received a complaint of possible narcotic activity in an apartment. Consent was given to enter and 48-Year-Old David Thomas Ogas and a 36-year-old female were located inside. Ogas was arrested and booked on two Felony Fannin County Warrants; Fraud and Forgery. The female have three Class C traffic warrants out of Paris Municipal Court and was also arrested.
On Tuesday, April 30 at 2:13pm; a Community Service Officer spoke to a complainant of an Indecent Exposure occurring in downtown Paris, in the 100 block of South Main. The report is still being written. More information will be provided later.
On Tuesday, April 30 at 9:11pm; Paris EMS, Paris Fire and Paris Police were dispatched to the location of 600 block of Evergreen Street and SE 6th Street to a major motor vehicle accident with injury, involving a Nissan Rogue and a bicyclist. EMS and Fire arrived on scene first and began providing life-saving medical procedures to the bicyclist with a head-injury. The bicyclist was transported to Paris Regional Health, where he succumb to his injuries. At scene, Police made contact with 44-Year-Old Cory Wayne Luck, the driver of the Nissan, who had slurred speech, unsteady balance, refused multiple times to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and was subsequently arrested and booked into the Paris Jail for Intoxication Manslaughter w/Vehicle. The bicyclist was identified as 44-Year-Old Mark Anthony Callaway Jr. The next of kin has been notified. The investigation is on-going.
