On Apr. 1, Officers responded to the 4300 block of Bonham St, Lamar County Probation, and arrested Wardell Kentrell Jones (37) of Paris on warrants for Probation Violation (Possess Controlled Substance and Assault of Family Member with Previous Conviction). Jones was booked and transported to county jail.
On Apr. 2, An officer stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of E. Hickory for a traffic offense. The driver was identified as Howard Paul Browner (54) of Dallas. As the officer made contact with Browner, he observed what appeared to be narcotics in plain view on the dashboard of the vehicle. Browner was questioned about the narcotics and then taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. As the officer checked the vehicle for further contraband, another container filled with more of the illegal substance was located between the console of the vehicle and passenger seat. The passenger in the vehicle, Iesha Yvette Gordon (45), also of Dallas, was checked for warrants and numerous (13) outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Lamar County were confirmed. Gordon was also arrested. The narcotics were identified as cocaine. Both subjects were booked and taken to county jail.
