Friday, March 31, 2023 at 9:23am: A Paris Police responded to the 1500 block of Hearon Street to arrest 41-Year-Old Carolyn Denise Brumley of Paris on an outstanding Hopkins County-Felony Parole Violation-Possession of Controlled Substance warrant. Contact was made. Brumley was handcuffed and transported to the Paris Jail. During booking; two small baggies containing Methamphetamine were located in Brumley’s carry-along backpack. Brumley was additionally charged with Prohibited Substance and Items in Correctional Facility and Possession of Controlled Substance.
Friday, March 31, 2023 at 7:11pm: Paris Officers responded to the 2500 block of Ridgeview Road in attempt to serve two warrants on 37-Year-Old Brennon Kyle Parker of Paris for a Navarro County-Possession of Controlled Substance warrant and a Galveston County Sheriff’s Office-Theft Property >=$100<$750 warrant. A female answer the door and stated that Parker had left the residence in her vehicle and provided a vehicle description. Officer observed the vehicle passing the house. Parker was stopped in the 10 Block of Northeast 27th Street and taken into custody for the warrants and booked into the Paris Jail.
Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:47pm: Two female victims in their twenties arrived in the Paris Regional Health Emergency Room with stab wounds. The first victim had serious injuries (chest and neck stab wounds) and needed surgery. The second victim had sustained a small stab-cut wound to her upper left arm and shoulder area. The second victim spoke with a Paris Police Officer and stated that the incident occurred in the 1900 block of Booth Street and started from the suspect having a prior “beef” with another person that was friends with the victims. Officer took an Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon Report.
Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 7:51am: A traffic stop was made in the 3300 block of North Main Street by a Paris Police Officer for “fail to display registration insignia”. 46-Year-Old Tawana Jeanne Hicks of Paris was taken into custody for a Parole Violation-Forgery Warrant and booked into the Paris Jail.
Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:35pm: After a Paris Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2500 Block of N Main Street for “no front license plate” and “expired registration”; he observed a used vape cartridge in the center console. The driver and the passenger were both under the age of 21, making it illegal for them to possess nicotine products. A consent search resulted in locating 20 baggies labeled as containing THC Oil and 2 baggies containing Marijuana. 20-Year Old Hunter Gage Boyer of Rockwall took full responsibility and was booked into the Paris Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG-2 4<400g, a Second Degree Felony and Possession of Marijuana 2<4oz, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 6:14pm: After being dispatched to a Welfare Concern in the 1200 block of SE 15th Street; Paris Police Officer located 39-Year-Old Johnathan James Dunken of Paris hiding in a residence, in an air vent under the HVAC closet. Dunken exited the air vent and was taken into custody and booked into the Paris Jail for an outstanding Parole Violation-Arson X2 Warrant and a Paris PD Warrant for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member for assaulting his wife back in June of 2022.
Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 1:01am: Attendees of a private event held in the 1000 block of Pine Bluff Street were parking in and blocking a driveway in the 400 block of NE 11th Street. The victim sought Paris Police assistance with the removal of the vehicles from her driveway. When the Officer left; the attendees moved the vehicles back to the victim’s driveway. The victim stated that the DJ’s wife came to her residence; pulled and pointed a handgun and stated “We’re from the city. You don’t know us. We’ll lay you down”. Another attendee removed the suspect from the residence. During the second call to the police; the Officer took an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Report to be investigated.
Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 10:51am: A Paris Police Officer took a Sexual Assault report from a victim at Paris Regional Health Center; who stated that she was sexual assault by a suspect that was at a party that she attended. The incident will be investigated.
Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 1:40pm: Paris Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a subject stating that he was at Catfish King. When asked, “What is your emergency”? Caller stated, “I don’t know” and hung up the phone. Paris Officer responded to the 2400 block of North Main Street to a 9-1-1 Violations. 40-Year-Old John Mark Semple Jr. of Deport was located inside the restaurant; taken into custody and booked into the Paris Jail for an outstanding Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Warrant for Probation Violation-Unauthorized Use of Vehicle.
Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 9:13pm: Paris Dispatch received a call of a Shoplifting in the 900 block of Clarksville Street; wherein the suspect had stolen an undetermined amount of seafood. Paris Officer made contact with a subject, fitting the suspect description in the 10 Block of Northeast 8th Street. The subject identified himself as 57-Year-Old Louis Huley Jr. of Clarksville and was found in possession of a box of frozen fish filets. After reviewing Huley’s criminal history; his prior charges lead him to being booking into the Paris Jail for Theft of Property less $2500 with 2/More Pre/Convictions.
Friday, March 31, 2023 through Sunday, April 2, 2023: The Paris Police Department responded to 200 Calls for Service and arrested 20 adult persons.
