On Apr. 10, Officers with the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force seized a 16ft Big Tex Dump Trailer while performing inspections of vehicles seeking title exchanges. The inspection took place in the 2000 block of S. Collegiate. Officers discovered that the Vehicle Identification Number had been tampered with or removed. The trailer is seized until a property hearing may be held. No arrest have been made at this time.
On Apr. 10, the department received a complaint of a theft of a dog from the 1400 block of Sperry St. The victim advised that she had secured the back gate of her residence’s yard on the evening before and when checking on the dog today, she found that the chain was removed from the gate and the dog, a mixed breed medium sized male dog, was missing. The dog was not collared nor chipped. Animal control was notified of the missing animal and will be on the look out for the animal.
On Apr. 10 Officers responded to an assault and criminal mischief call in the area of Old Bonham Rd and SW Loop 286. A UPS driver advised he had been assaulted by a male subject who chased him down in a vehicle, struck his delivery truck window with his hand and caused the broken glass to cut the victim’s arm. Officers were able to identify the suspect and made a report on the incident. Charges will be pending.
Officers made 14 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 86 calls for service for this reporting period.
