With the new school year set to begin this Thursday, August 15, the Paris Police Department has put out a reminder for the community to be patient as school buses are set to return to the streets.
“We all should expect delays and traffic congestion around our school campuses as parents and kids find their way around. We are certain that the campus police departments will be on hand in the area as will additional officers from our department,” said Chief of Police Bob Hundley.
Adding, “We’ve gone several months without seeing the school buses on the streets, please be cautious when you are around one. Watch for those flashing red lights on the stopped buses along with kids in the street. Please help us help everyone enjoy a safe and successful school year.”
