Paris PD investigate vehicle chase ending with shots fired, no injuries reported

Paris Police responded to a shots fired call at 12:19 P.M. on October 29, 2018 in the 1400 block of Cedar St.

Officers located a vehicle at the corner of SE 15th and Cedar St. that had slid sideways and crashed into a fire hydrant.

“The vehicle was unoccupied and officers observed several bullet holes in the windshield of the vehicle that appeared to have come from inside the vehicle outward,” said Officer Curtis Graham. 

Witnesses advised that they saw a vehicle chasing this vehicle but could not give any occupant descriptions.

The driver of the vehicle left at the scene has not been located nor has the other vehicle involved.

The investigation continues.

UPDATE: There are no reports of injuries at this time. According to witnesses, both the alleged perpetrator(s) and intended target(s) left the scene before officials arrived.

Investigators are on the scene. They believe there is no threat to the public.
