Paris PD continues to urge residents to lock their vehicles || More reports of unlocked vehicles entered

Paris Police are continuing to urge residents to be responsible and lock their vehicles after five more reports of unlocked vehicles entered last week.

“We are urging the public to be responsible and remove all valuables from your vehicles and lock your vehicles when away from them for any length of time,” said Officer Garrett 

Friday morning, several residents in the residential area of Wood Hollow, Fair Oaks, Silver leaf found that their vehicles had been gone through with items stolen during the night.

“A total of five unlocked vehicles were entered,” said Chief of Police Bob Hundley. “Two handguns were reported stolen along with other items.”

Paris PD is asking resident in the area who might have security cameras to check for anything unusual during the evening of the 15th to the morning of the 16th.

“The department would like to encourage citizens to avoid leaving firearms in their vehicles and to lock the vehicle,” said Hundley. 

Please do not set yourself up to be the next victim. Remove all valuables and lock your vehicles.
