Paris Independent School District invites the community to an evening of outstanding musical performances as four Lamar County high school marching bands come together for the annual Community Band Showcase on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Wildcat Stadium.
The event will begin at 7:00 p.m., and admission is free to the public.
The showcase will feature marching bands from Chisum, Prairiland, North Lamar, and Paris high schools, giving community members an opportunity to enjoy the talent, dedication, and hard work of local student musicians as they prepare for the upcoming UIL Area Marching Competition.
Bands will perform in the following order:
1. Chisum High School
2. Prairiland High School
3. North Lamar High School
4. Paris High School Blue Blazes Band
The Community Band Showcase provides an opportunity for students to perform their marching shows in front of a supportive hometown audience before taking the field at Area competition.
It also allows families, friends, and community members to experience the exceptional musical programs found throughout Lamar County.
Beyond the performances, the event is a celebration of the dedication of student musicians, band directors, and the many individuals who support music education across the county.
Each band has invested countless hours in rehearsals and preparation, and the showcase offers an opportunity to recognize their accomplishments while encouraging them as they continue their competitive seasons.
Paris ISD encourages residents from across Lamar County and surrounding communities to attend and support all four bands.
Whether cheering for a particular school or simply enjoying an evening of live music, spectators can look forward to an impressive display of musical talent and school pride.
The Community Band Showcase is free and open to everyone.
Make plans to join us at Wildcat Stadium on Monday, October 26, at 7:00 p.m., as Lamar County comes together to celebrate its talented student musicians and wish them success at the Area Marching Competition.
