Paris ISD fourth graders once again put their creativity to the test in the annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest, a community tradition sponsored by the Paris Fire Department in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. The contest gives students a hands-on way to learn the importance of fire safety while expressing their ideas through art.
At Aikin Elementary, students produced colorful and imaginative posters reflecting what they’ve learned about preventing fires and staying safe. Congratulations to Aikin’s top three artists — Keelen Carr, Layla Kearney, and Kyndal Davidson — for their outstanding work!
Justiss Elementary students also impressed judges with their original designs and thoughtful messages about fire prevention. Earning top honors at Justiss were Josey Hayes, Tony Lemus Catellon, and Michael McCool.
The Paris Fire Department continues to partner with local schools to help students build lifelong awareness of fire safety through creative learning experiences.
