Paris ISD CTE senior engineering students had the opportunity to explore real-world engineering in action during visits to Harrison, Walker & Harper and Kimberly-Clark recently.
At Kimberly-Clark, students toured high-tech manufacturing lines, saw automation systems in action, and learned how innovation, quality control, and sustainability come together in one of the world’s leading consumer product companies.
They then had a chance to ask questions from a panel of KC engineers.
At HWH, students first got a tour of their offices with CEO Jordan Harper followed by an inside look at project planning, architectural collaboration, and how architectural designers bring ideas from ideation to development.
Architectural Designer Kelsey Turk walked the students through the design build project from concept all the way through to construction documents.
“This hands-on experience gave our students valuable insight into career paths, workplace expectations, and the exciting challenges that engineers solve every day. Huge thanks to the teams at HWH and Kimberly-Clark for investing in the next generation of engineers.”
