Paris ISD Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

Every year Paris ISD joins the rest of the country to observe National Hispanic Heritage Month—a celebration of the diverse cultures and riveting histories of the people in this country with ancestral roots in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Spain, and the nations of Central or South America.

Celebrating our rich cultural Latin traditions is especially meaningful in PISD, where 20 percent of students identify themselves as Hispanic
or Latino.

English language learners from Head Start, Justiss, Aikin, Crockett, Paris Junior High and Paris High School performed for a huge audience of family members, friends, teachers, and members of the community.
