Paris ISD is hosting its 5th annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ 2021 Thanksgiving competition with a goal of 2,000 boxes of stuffing to take to Paris Downtown Food Pantry.
This year campuses – students and staff – will compete against one another in the stuffing competition. Each year the Downtown Food Pantry asks for thousands of boxes of stuffing toggle to every family that visits before Thanksgiving.
“In years past, every family that came through our doors received at least two boxes,” Downtown Food Pantry’s Operations Director Chuck Burton said. “It would be great if we received enough to even go past Thanksgiving.”
The winning campus will get to take possession of the coveted Traveling Turkey Trophy for a whole year, currently housed at Aikin Elementary. Paris ISD began collecting on Nov. 1 and will continue to collect until Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. The winning campus will then be announced the afternoon of Nov. 15.
“Thanks for helping us help our community!” said Paris’ district.
