Paris High School is proud to recognize senior Arjan Khadka for being named a Carson Scholar, an honor recognizing outstanding academic achievement and a strong commitment to serving others.
The Carson Scholars Fund awards $1,000 college scholarships to students in grades 4 through 11 who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and dedication to their communities. To qualify, students must maintain a minimum 3.75 GPA and demonstrate strong involvement in community service.
Khadka earned the distinction based on his accomplishments during his junior year at Paris High School and enters his senior year as a Carson Scholar.
The Carson Scholars Fund was founded in 1994 by Dr. Ben Carson and his wife, Candy Carson, to recognize and reward students who excel academically while making a positive difference in the lives of others. Since its founding, the program has expanded nationwide, honoring students who demonstrate that success extends beyond the classroom through leadership, character, and service.
“Arjan is an outstanding example of the kind of student we are proud to call a Paris High School Wildcat,” said Paris High School Principal Chris Vaughn. “His dedication to his academics and his willingness to serve others speak volumes about his character. We are extremely proud to see him receive this national recognition.”
As a Carson Scholar, Khadka will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and join a nationwide group of students recognized for their academic excellence and commitment to their communities.
Paris ISD congratulates Arjan on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to celebrating all that he accomplishes during his senior year and beyond.
