The Paris Fire Department recently had three of their newest employees successfully complete Basic Fire Academy training.

“Zachary Beal, Austin Bush, and Ryan Poole all completed 576 hours of training ending this week that culminated in a graduation and awards ceremony held Thursday night in Plano,” said Interim Fire Chief Thomas McMonigle.

Cadet Beal received the Academy Fitness Award for improved fitness and the Academy Spirit Award for positive attitude, while Cadet Poole received The Fire Academy Merit Award for overall performance during the academy.

Cadet Bush, who had completed EMT training prior to employment, will begin shiftwork after Christmas. Cadets Beal and Poole will begin EMT training January 3rd.

“We at Paris FD congratulate our cadets on their performance and individual achievements. We look forward to having them on line and feel that they will all be assets to our Department and our community.”
