Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is a “no-show” at training camp and is officially holding out.

According to FOX4News, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Elliott has been deemed a “non-report” to camp in Oxnard, California.

“He’s late. We’ve officially reported,” Jones said at the start of the annual State of Team press conference.

While players don’t actually hit the field for their first practice of training camp until Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CST, the club officiailly opened camp with a press conference on Friday led by owner Jerry Jones, executive vice president Stephen Jones and head coach Jason Garrett at 2 p.m.

Elliott has two-years remaining on his current deal which would make him $3.8 million this season and $9 million in 2020.

The fine per day for missing training camp is $40,000 and if a hold out extended into the preseason, the fined would go up to $226,000 per preseason game.

It’s being speculated that Elliott is attempting to get his contract extended even with two years still left on his current rookie contract. Reports are saying that the source of the information is from someone close to Elliot, though no names have been released.
