At approximately 9:20 a.m., police entered the residence in the 800 block of Hickory Street in Honey Grove. The male suspect was found deceased inside. There is no longer a danger to the community related to this incident.
The Honey Grove Police Officer is in stable condition at an area trauma center.
At the request of the Honey Grove Police Department, the Texas Rangers have been asked to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available.
