North Lamar High School participated once again in the Regional Visual Arts Scholastic Event held on February 24th at Chisum High School.
The students worked extremely hard and they performed very well at the event.
There were 17 students participating and a total of 27 works of art presented by North Lamar art students.
Throughout the day, students met with judges for short interviews about their pieces, they took part in clay workshops, and some also participated in a still life competition.
At the end of the event all artists were honored for their efforts and we were all privileged to hear a lecture by Beatriz Galuban.
In conclusion, students and parents were able to take the much anticipated gallery walk to view all the amazing pieces and see the final results.
North Lamar High School brought home 25 medals for pieces scoring the highest achievement, and four students will advance to the State VASE event in April. Also, Izabella Jumper won the cash award for her submission in the still life activity.
