North Lamar Independent School District announced it will hold workouts as a part of a sports performance camp running from June 8 through July 30.
Cost per incoming junior high students is $30, while the fee per each incoming high school student is $40. Both fees include a Panther Performance T-Shirt, and payments via check can be made payable to North Lamar Athletics.
All incoming students from seventh through 12th grades zoned to North Lamar High School are allowed to sign up, but payments will not be accepted until the first day of camp. There are no refunds once payment is submitted.
All workouts will be conducted at the North Lamar High School Athletic Facility, and Coach Watkins (Director of Sports Performance) will lead the camp. North Lamar High School and Junior High coaches will also assist in running the camp.
High School workout dates are June 8 through 11, 15 through 18, 22 through 25, June 29 through July 2, July 9 through 10, 13 through 16, 22 through 24 and 27 through 29. Junior High dates are July 13 through 16, 22 through 24, and 27 through 30. Workouts will not be held July 6 through 8, 20 or 21.
Group times for boys of all sports grades 10 through 12 will be held from 7 to 9 a.m., while group times for girls of all sports from grades nine through 12 will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Incoming freshman boys of all sports will participate from 9:30 to 11 a.m., while incoming seventh and eighth-grade girls will have their session held from 11 a.m. to noon.
