North Lamar ISD collaborates with Mathews Auto Group each month to recognize two staff members who have been nominated by their co-workers.
This month, the awards went to Randy Jones, NLHS Band Director and Morgan Fichtenamyer, 8th grade math teacher and Stone Middle School girls basketball coach.
“Randy has been a part of North Lamar for over 30 years. He truly dedicates his time and his energy to help the students of North Lamar,” said superintendent Kelli Stewart. “Through band, he teaches his students about work ethic, responsibility, accountability, and more. he also puts their safety above everything else. He strives for the best which pushes the students to be the best.”
“Morgan has gone above and beyond with her students to make sure they grasp the content and to catch them up ti where they need to be. Morgan shows exactly what it means to be a teacher who cares about her students and is willing to do what is asked of her. She really shows what it means to be a Panther (Respect and Teamwork).”
