North Lamar High School seniors were honored Tuesday evening, May 13, during the annual North Lamar Education Foundation (NLEF) Scholarship Ceremony, held in the NLHS Auditorium. The ceremony recognized 48 outstanding students who were awarded scholarships, thanks to the generous support of local families, memorial funds, and community organizations.
The event was led by NLEF President Levi Graham and Vice President Rayne Zaplac, who presented awards on behalf of families unable to attend. Many families of named scholarships were present to personally award their scholarships and meet the recipients, making the evening especially meaningful for students and donors alike.
Among the awards presented were the James A Dawson Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships, awarded to Roselyn Spencer and Avery Spencer, respectively, as well as other special memorial scholarships honoring the legacies of individuals.
Each recipient received recognition on stage and was personally thanked by school officials and community members for their achievements.
North Lamar ISD and the North Lamar Education Foundation express their sincere gratitude to the families, individuals, and organizations who continue to invest in the futures of NLHS graduates.
