Norma Joan Neal, 88 of Tomball, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.

A private graveside service for family is set for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery with Father Vithanage officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements

Norma was born September 18, 1930 in Electra to William Terrell and Arthur Mattie Caldwell Gibbens. Norma married Arlis Robert Neal on June 19th, 1951 and they made their home in Houston and later moved to Tomball, Texas. Norma was no stranger to hard work and always had a project she was working on. She had a very full life and enjoyed building birdhouses, working in her yard, quilting, sewing, playing Bridge and spending time with her four daughters. She was also a grandmother of ten and great grandmother of thirteen. She lived in Tomball for well over 30 years and helped build her home in Tomball alongside her husband and son-in-law’s.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William Terrell and Arthur Mattie Gibbens; her husband; Arlis Robert Neal; all four of her brothers, S.P., Roland, Tommy and Troy Gibbens; and one sister, Ina Bill Williams.

She is survived by her four daughters; Sherry Hale and husband, David, Karen Sumner and husband, Charles, Katy Donovan and husband, Robert and Terrie Ogle; ten grandchildren; Gwynne Hale- Floyd, Jason Simons, Tonya Simons-Fotinos, Charles Sumner Jr., David Hale Jr., Nick Sumner, Tyler Ogle, Kirk Sumner, Jennifer Hale-Garza and Michala Ogle; and thirteen great grandchildren.
