North Lamar High School senior Deriyas Wilson was recognized at the School Board meeting Monday night for his quick response in helping during the school bus accident last Friday.
NL Transportation Director Clint Hildreth said, “D flew into action helping get the students and bus driver off the bus. He turned off the bus and got on the radio to let us know about the situation and where they were located.”
In addition to his recognition Monday night, Hildreth said he was appreciative of D’s response and personally thanked him by taking him to Burgerland for lunch.
