Before kids go back to school, parents around the country are being reminded about potentially dangerous apps.
Many law enforcement agencies across the country are taking to social media to also warn parents of the dangers of certain phone apps.
Paris Chief of Police Bob Hundley echoes those warnings, “The ease and accessibility of these apps should be of concern for parents. Not so long ago, kids had to work a little harder on finding trouble, technology provides a free and easy way to get into more serious problems. Parents have to be a parent and keep a watchful eye on what kids are accessing.”
The apps include well-known social media and dating apps like Snapchat, Holla and WhatsApp, as well as location-based dating apps like Bumble, Hot or Not and Live Me.
