Nancy L. Sherwood, 75, of Sumner, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15th at Tigertown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1 – 2 p.m. Monday.
Nancy, the daughter of Willie Wood and Nelda McDowell Wood, was born November 19, 1950, in Lamar County.
She graduated from West Lamar High School. Her career with Merico, Earthgrains, and Sara Lee spanned 30 years before her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, Michael, hunting, fishing, and camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Cochran.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Sherwood, one son, Bryan Banker and wife Shelly, one daughter, Melissa Blount and husband Zachary, two step-children, Shane Sherwood and wife Veronica and Michelle Gaither and husband Lonnie, grandchildren, Hannah Lee and husband Unique, Havenn Banker, Ryan Box, Allie Blount, Sydnie Sherwood, Kaiden Sherwood, Cheyenne Taylor and husband Cody, Stormie Gaither and husband Casey Sneed, and Dusti Gaither, two great grandchildren, a sister, Linda Foreman and husband James, and a brother-in-law, Jese Ray Cochran along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
