Myrtle Lou Chumbley, 87, of Blossom, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Colonial Lodge Retirement Center in Greenville, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled funeral services for 1:00 pm, Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Lifeline Worship Center in Reno with Reverend Larry Young and Reverend Larry Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chumbley was born April 3, 1932 in Red River County to Roy Monroe Finch and Ruby Gertrude Burchinal Finch. She married Delbert Chumbley in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, and a proud member of Lifeline Worship Center in Reno.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy M. Finch and Marlin (Buddy) Finch and three sisters, Ruth Miller, Joyce Miller and Wanda Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Larissa Neel & husband Dennis of Commerce; a brother, James Finch & wife Phillis of Tyler; a sister, Nell Thompson of Blossom; grandchildren, Melissa Shull & husband Brent of Royce City, Crystal Ricoy & husband Carlos of Garland, Blake Neel of Garland and Daniel Neel of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Xavier Brown, Adrian Ricoy, Jacob Baca and Isabella Neel-Embro; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be Gary Miller, Darryl Miller, Roy Finch, Blake Neel, Daniel Neel and Ricky Landis. Honorary casket bearer will be Jim “Jimbo” Thompson. Her family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Tender Care Facility in Greenville as well as Healing Touch Home Health and True Hearts and Hands Hospice.
