MPFL Recap – NETX Raptors take the win

The North East Texas Raptors played their third game of the 2018 MPFL season Saturday night against the Arlington Mustangs.

With a full team effort, the Raptors were able to attain their first win of the season.

This effort included a strong running game, noting that five separate players rushed for touchdowns, accompanied by a great defensive effort in not allowing a single point to the Mustangs offense.

Standouts on both sides of the ball for the Raptors include, Landon Wilson, gaining 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns on a total of 12 carries, Daniel Mothersell, rushing eight times for 70 yards and a touchdown, Brent Liggins, attaining five tackles, one assisted tackle, and a sack with a forced fumble and recovery,  and Roger Bridges, gaining three tackles, three assisted tackles, and a fumble recovery.

Other notable players for the Raptors include Carnelius Reeds with two receptions for 37 yards, two rushes for 23 yards and a touchdown, and Jeremy Helms’ with three assisted tackles, two tackles and four rushes for 21 yards.

The final score of the game was 38-6.
