The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles rejected more than 3,000 personalized license plates, including “MOOV PLZ,” “HI HATER,” and “DAYUMMN,” in 2023.
Texans have been able to request personalized plates through the DMV since 1965, but Texas laws and rules are pretty extensive for what patterns can lead to rejections that “may be considered objectionable or misleading.”
June had the highest number of denials issued for personalized plates at 345, with requests such as, “BADAASS,” “TORTUR,” “IM LITTY,” and more, all rejected.
Other rejected personalized tags from the list are:
- OMGRUDE
- BUG KILR
- FU EMILY
- O-U-MAD
- IMDRUNK
- JOMAMMA
- HI HATER
- RAAAGE
- ICYUMAD
- O U FANCY
- NA U MAD
