Dads, your time has come. Having a “dad bod” is in, according to a recent survey.
A new survey commissioned by Planet Fitness says a poll found that “there’s an ever-increasing appreciation for and acceptance of the ‘dad bod physique.’”
In fact, nearly four in five among both women and men believe a “dad bod” is a sign of a man who is confident in his own skin.
Researchers found that nearly seven out of ten people found that men with a few or 20 extra pounds were attractive.
“More Americans say the “dad bod” is attractive (65 percent vs. 57 percent), men with a “dad bod” are sexy (61 percent vs. 51 percent) and the “dad bod” is the new six-pack (51 percent vs. 41 percent) this year compared to last year,” said Planet Fitness.
The survey further revealed, more than 23 million men say they have a “dad bod,” and 71% believe that the trendy physique is universally accepted.
So, there you have it…men with a slight paunch and a distinct lack of cheese grater abs are officially “more attractive” than they were in the past
