The Massey family has set a memorial benefit for Sunday, Nov. 8 to raise money for DeeAnn Massey’s headstone.
The family abruptly lost Deeann after a car accident early Oct. 25 morning less than 4 miles from home.
There will be a silent auction and barbecue sandwiches with chips from at noon $8-adult plates and $5 for children five years old and younger.
From noon to 5 p.m., the auction will take bids and all items must be paid for by Nov. 9 or it will go to the next highest bidder. Alongside the auction, there will be a 50/50 drawing from noon to 5 p.m.
Delco Trailers donated a custom-built fire pit, and $5 raffle tickets will be available during the memorial benefit. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting any of those listed below. The drawing for the custom fire pit will be at 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Eagles Lodge.
DeeAnn Massey Cornhole Tournament
The DeeAnn Massey Cornhole Tournament will begin at 1 p.m., registration starts at noon on Sunday.
It is $50 per team and is bring your own bags. Boards will be provided, however, participants can bring their own.
There will be prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners. Fifty percent of the winnings will go toward the family and the other 50 percent to the winning team.
