The Lamar County Republican Party is hosting a ‘Meet & Greet’ with Don Huffines, Republican candidate for Texas Comptroller, on Saturday, May 17.
“As Texas Comptroller, I will bring DOGE to Texas by exposing waste, fraud, and abuse in government. I’ll fight to return the savings to Texas taxpayers,” said Huffines.
Huffines, a fifth-generation Texan, husband, father, grandfather, and self-made businessman, launched his “grassroots campaign” on March 7, 2025, committing $10 million to the race on Day 1 because “Texas taxpayers deserve a Comptroller who fights for them.”
The event is being held at Springlake Baptist Church, 3500 Clarksville Street in Paris, at 6 p.m.
