Mary Francis Martin McDow, 87, of Paris, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the care & direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDow, the daughter of Charlie & Clemma Davis Martin, was born Dec. 27, 1931, in the Jennings Community of Lamar County.

She graduated from Deport High School in 1948. Following graduation she worked at Bill Musgrove’s Store before moving to Dallas in 1954. She worked at several Dallas banks before beginning a career at Buckner State Bank where she began as a teller and retired thirty-two years later as vice-president of the bank.

Mary was an animal advocate and loved her dogs dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Martin & wife Barbara, and a nephew, Steve Head.

Survivors include a niece & nephew; Merita Martin Head of Paris and Charlie Martin & wife Lisa of Halesboro, grandnieces & a grandnephew; Leslie Wadsworth, Kellie Roby, Britney Martin, Paige Crawford and Conrad Martin along with a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Lamar County Humane Association, P. O. Box 8, Paris, TX 75461.
